Investigating Growth Media Effects on Rooftop Vegetable Production
SIUE Green Roof Environmental Evaluation Network is partnering with Filtrexx, St. Louis Composting, and Illinois American Water to install a vegetable rooftop garden. Four vegetable varieties will be grown in three growth media blends of compost and drinking water treatment solids. The quality and yield of vegetables will be analyzed so that we can recommend the best growth media.
